Eagles Stay Unbeaten With Pair of Wins

The MSJC men’s basketball team remained unbeaten on the season as they won a road and a home game last week defeating Mira Costa and Palomar.

The MSJC men's basketball team remained unbeaten on the season as they won a road and a home game last week defeating Mira Costa and Palomar.

Wednesday the Eagles traveled to Oceanside where a big first half carried them to a 92-75 win over Mira Costa. MSJC built a lead of 60-34 by halftime and extended that to 34 at one point in the second half. Adrian Mosley and Daniel Crawford led the offensive effort as each scored 21 in the victory. RJ Dawson added 15 points while Tyler Frazier-Mathews scored 11 and grabbed 7 rebounds. Willie Miller also hit double figures in scoring with 10 off the bench.

Saturday the Eagles hosted Palomar and pulled away late for a 90-76 home win over the Comets. Mosley flirted with a triple double as he scored 29 points, hauled in 9 rebounds, and passed out 7 assists. Dawson again hit double figures with17 points, and this time added 4 steals. Point guard Joseph Boddie was efficient, scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Frazier-Mathews reached double figures again with 12.

The Eagles, who improved to 5-0, will be at home twice this week as they host Irvine Valley on Wednesday and welcome Saddleback on Saturday. Wednesday's game is set to begin at 6 pm with Saturday's tip scheduled for 3 pm.
