Eagles End Week With Win Over San Diego City
The MSJC baseball team was on the road last week for three games, the Eagles wrapped up the trip with a win over San Diego City on Saturday.

The MSJC baseball team was on the road last week for three games, the Eagles wrapped up the trip with a win over San Diego City on Saturday.
The Eagles began the week with a trip to Mt. SAC, the defending 3C2A state champions, and came away with an 11-6 loss Tuesday. MSJC jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings, but the Mounties scored the next 8 runs to seize control of the game. Will Siqueiros had a strong game at the plate as he went 3 for 5 with a pair of RBIs in the loss. Ryan Rangel, Steven Felipe, and Dayton Thompson each drove home a run.
Wednesday the Eagles traveled to Fullerton where they lost a tight 5-4 game with the Hornets. MSJC held a 4-3 lead through six innings but a 2-run bottom of the seventh for Fullerton was the difference. Alex Pintal had 2 RBIs in the game while Jordan Zamora picked up two hits and drove in a run. Matt Rezkalah added an RBI and Siqueiros had two more hits.
MSJC ended the three-game road trip on a positive note on Saturday as they jumped ahead 4-0 in the top of the first on their way to an 11-6 win at San Diego City. Felipe, Rezkalah, and Mikey Ong all had run scoring hits in the top of the first to put the Eagles on top. MSJC would go on to add runs in six different innings for the win. Ong finished the day with 4 RBIs, Rezkalah drove in two and Tyler Trout had a pair of hits. Isaiah Diaz picked up the pitching victory as he threw five innings allowing two earned runs and struck out three.
The Eagles (2-3) have three more games on the schedule this week starting with a rematch against San Diego City Tuesday in San Jacinto at 1 pm. Thursday MSJC will travel to San Diego Mesa for a 1 pm game before wrapping up the week by hosting Mesa on Saturday at noon.
