Eagles Finish First Round of IEAC Action With Road Win
The MSJC men’s basketball team completed the first round of Inland Empire Athletic Conference games with a solid road win at Victor Valley Wednesday night 98-75.
The MSJC men's basketball team completed the first round of Inland Empire Athletic Conference games with a solid road win at Victor Valley Wednesday night 98-75.
The Eagles led throughout the contest as they built a 44-30 lead by halftime and never let the Rams get the score back into single digits in the second half.
Tyler Frazier-Mathews led the way for the Eagle offense as he scored a game-high 24 points, he added 2 blocks on the defensive end. Adrian Mosley recorded a double double with 18 points and 10 rebounds; he also dished out a team-high 6 assists. Willie Miller added 17 points in the victory with a very efficient night from the field as he connected on 7 of 9 field goal attempts including going 2 for 3 from three-point range. Daniel Crawford came off the bench to reach double figures with 14, he also hauled in 6 rebounds.
The Eagles improved to 14-6 overall and 6-2 in the IEAC with the victory. MSJC will start their second round of league play on Saturday with a trip to Chaffey. Tip-off Saturday is set for 3pm, the Eagles will return home next Wednesday when they host Copper Mountain at 7 o'clock.
