Eagles Move Into Conference Play

The Eagles opened league play on Tuesday when they hosted San Diego City as they fell to the Knights 7-2. The #3 doubles team of Landon Bristow and Nolan Carr earned one of the team's two points with an 8-4 victory. Richard Silva put another point on the bord for the Eagles with a win at #6 singles 6-3 and 6-2.
MSJC moved back out of conference play on Wednesday when they took a trip to Mt. SAC where the team lost a competitive 6-3 match to the Mounties. Bristow and Carr once again earned a point at #3 doubles with another 8-4 win. Carr also added a point to the team total winning his #3 singles match 6-4 and 6-2. Jesus Guadarrama earned the Eagles third point of the day in a 3-set win at #5 singles. Guadarrama battled back after losing the first set 6-7 to win the second 6-2 and the third 10-3.
The Eagles as a team now stand at 2-8 overall on the season and 0-1 in IEAC play. MSJC will be on the road next week for a pair of conference matches when they travel to Imperial Valley on Tuesday and College of the Desert on Thursday. Both matches next week at scheduled for 2 pm.
