Men's Tennis Back on the Winning Track
The MSJC men’s tennis team evened up their Inland Empire Athletic Conference record on Tuesday as they defeated Imperial Valley on the road 9-0.
The MSJC men's tennis team evened up their Inland Empire Athletic Conference record on Tuesday as they defeated Imperial Valley on the road 9-0.
The Eagles got started with a sweep of doubles as the #1 pair of Keith Norman and Jesus Guadarrama won 8-5. At #2 it was Richard Silva and Jeremy Del Villar teaming up to win 8-1 and at #3 Landon Bristow and Nolan Carr won 8-0.
MSJC also rolled through the singles competition as all six matches were decided in straight sets with Bristow, Del Villar, Carr, Norman, Guadarrama, and Silva picking up victories.
Through eleven matches this season Carr leads the way with five singles victories for the Eagles. He and Bristow have also combined to win five doubles matches together this year, also a team high.
The Eagles 3-8 overall on the season and 1-1 in IEAC play will be back on the court Thursday when they travel to College of the Desert for a 2 pm match.
