Eagles Win Opener, Host Lion's Club Tip-Off Thursday & Friday

The MSJC women's basketball team opened their 2025-26 season last Saturday on the road at Cuyumaca and used a dominant second half to win going away 82-41.
The Eagles started a little slowly as they struggled to make shots but played solid defense and controlled the boards to build a 32-23 lead at halftime. MSJC then took command of the game in the third quarter as they outscored Cuyumaca 29-9.
Karsen Marshall, making her MSJC debut, led the Eagle offense with a game high 20 points. She also had 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Anisa Turner added 12 points in the win for MSJC while both Kohen Marshall and Kiara Williams had 10 each. Williams also had 5 steals and 4 assists. Anaya Singer dominated the glass for the Eagles as she came off the bench to grab a game high 18 rebounds.
The Eagles, who have won seven straight conference titles, will host the 11th Annual San Jacinto Lion's Club Tip-Off Tournament this Thursday and Friday. MSJC will take on Antelope Valley College on Thursday at 6pm and then play Long Beach City Friday afternoon at 3. Both days Palomar will play two hours prior to the Eagles alternating opponents with MSJC.
