The MSJC women’s basketball team rolled to an easy victory at home on Wednesday night as the defeated visiting Imperial Valley 90-32.

The MSJC women's basketball team rolled to an easy victory at home on Wednesday night as they defeated visiting Imperial Valley 90-32.
The Eagles led 18-5 after the first quarter and then exploded to outscore the Desert Warriors 33-0 in the second period to lead 51-5 at the half. The second half was more competitive with MSJC rotating through their nine available players as they outscored Imperial 39-27 over the final twenty minutes.
Kohen Marshall scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Eagles; she also had 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Keslyn Henson scored a season-high 18 points to go along with 6 assists. Karsen Marshall added 17 points in just 15 minutes of action, she scored 10 of her 17 during MSJC's dominant second quarter. Taniyah Hutcherson also reached double figures with 13 points. Anisa Turner added 8 points and 6 rebounds while Anaya Singer had 7 points and a game high 12 rebounds.
MSJC improves to 7-4 with the victory and opens Inland Empire Athletic Conference play on Saturday when they host Chaffey. Saturday's 1 pm game will be followed by a trip to undefeated Copper Mountain next Wednesday.
