Eagles Win Big, Move to 3-0 in IEAC

The MSJC women's basketball team cruised to another easy victory on Saturday as they went on the road and defeated College of the Desert 91-43.
The Eagles and the Roadrunners exchanged baskets for the first six and a half minutes of the game before MSJC seized control late in the opening period. MSJC would lead 24-17 after the first quarter and then build that lead to 50-24 by halftime.
MSJC used a dominating 67-42 rebounding advantage to continue to build the lead over the final 20 minutes. The Eagle defense forced Desert into 22 turnovers in the win, which was the team's sixth in a row.
Kohen Marshall had a big game as she recorded her third straight double double with 30 points and 17 rebounds, she also had 5 assists. Karsen Marshall added 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots for MSJC. Keslyn Henson also hit double figures with 12 points while Amiya Singer added 8 points and 9 rebounds. Trinity Skinner stuffed the stat sheet for the Eagles with 7 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals.
The Eagles improved to 12-4 with the win they are 3-0 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference games. MSJC will play a pair of home games this week when they host Barstow at 5 pm on Wednesday and San Bernardino Valley Saturday at 1. The Eagle men's team will play both days as well following the women's games.
