MSJC Shuts Out Norco to Earn IEAC Win
The MSJC soccer team earned their first conference win of the season on Tuesday as they defeated Norco College 2-0 at HCN Bank Stadium.

The MSJC soccer team earned their first conference win of the season on Tuesday as they defeated Norco College 2-0 at HCN Bank Stadium.
The Eagles controlled most of the first half but could not find the back of the net as the two teams went to the halftime break tied at zero.
MSJC finally broke through in the 71st minute when Haylee Chilton scored with an assist from Lorena Gonzalez giving the Eagles the lead. The Eagles would tack on the knockout blow in the 88th minute when Alondra Pozos made it 2-0 with an assist from Kassandra Martinez. Kimberly Estrada played all ninety minutes in goal for MSJC making three saves for the shutout.
The Eagles improved to 4-7-1 overall and 1-2 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play with the victory and will be back on the pitch twice this week. Tuesday MSJC will host College of the Desert at HCN Bank Stadium with kickoff set for 4 pm. Friday the Eagles will travel to Victor Valley for a 6 pm match.
