Eagles Compete at Ojai
The MSJC women’s tennis team took part in the 2026 3C2A Championships in Ojai over the weekend and earned both a singles and doubles win.
The MSJC women's tennis team took part in the 2026 3C2A Championships in Ojai over the weekend and earned both a singles and doubles win.
Madison Williamson, the Eagles lone singles qualifier, earned an opening round win over Lexi Bare from Cabrillo College 6-2 and 6-1. Williamson then fell in the Round of 64 against Bernadette Houhanasian of Glendale College 6-2 and 6-0. Williamson was making her second straight appearance in singles at Ojai.
In the doubles competition Indie Stover and Natalia Mattar earned an opening round win over a team from Chabot 6-1 and 6-2. They ran into a tough team from College of the Sequoias in the second round and fell 6-1 and 6-2. Williamson teamed with Brooke Sherwood in doubles for MSJC and after being awarded an opening round bye the duo lost a hard-fought match against a strong pair from Clovis 3-6 and 5-7.
The Eagles had another successful season as they finished with a 10-6 overall record and a third-place finish in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.
