The MSJC volleyball team swept Chaffey Friday night at home to claim their second straight conference championship.
The Eagles won by scores of 25-17, 25-22, and 25-18 to wrap up the regular season with a league record of 11-1 and an overall mark of 17-9. Friday MSJC was led on offense by Megan Gajda who recorded a match high fourteen kills, she also picked up thirteen digs. Josephine Springer added ten kills and 7 digs, while Kalia Anady had a match high 18 assists and team high 23 digs. Brooklyn Jimenez aided the defensive effort with seventeen digs and Audrey Franks contributed to the offense with 5 kills.
MSJC has now won four Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championships in the past five seasons and have qualified for the playoffs in 6 of the past 8 years.
The 2024 3C2A Regional playoff pairings will be announced later this week.
