Pui Lok Choi has been chosen to take over as the MSJC women's cross-country head coach for the 2025 season. Jorge Jabaz resigned last week to become the head women's cross-country coach at Cal State Fullerton.
"I am super grateful and excited to join Mt. San Jacinto College Athletics and share my passion for strength and conditioning through working with our very first Women's cross-country team", said Choi. "Thank you to Dean Patrick Springer for this opportunity to help build a program and develop student-athletes". "As head coach, my goal is to develop student-athletes through the four pillars of training, nutrition, mindset, and recovery". Choi added "Through this, my expectation is for them to excel in the classroom, competition, in the community, and in their lives".
Currently, Choi serves as Kinesiology Faculty at MSJC and Strength and Conditioning Coach in a private facility in Riverside. Choi has also served as the Head Strength and Conditioning and Assistant Football Coach at La Sierra High School in Riverside, CA, and has had stops as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of La Verne and UC Riverside.
Prior to coaching and teaching, Choi obtained a master's degree in Exercise Science from California Baptist University (Riverside, CA) in 2013, and previously played Football at Riverside Community College and at the University of LaVerne, earning his undergraduate degree in communications.
