Two Eagles Earn All IEAC Honors, Team Advances To Regionals

The MSJC cross-country team took part in their first Inland Empire Athletic Conference championships over the weekend and qualified for the 3C2A Regional Meet.

The MSJC cross-country team took part in their first Inland Empire Athletic Conference championships over the weekend and qualified for the 3C2A Regional Meet.

The Eagles had five runners participate in the event with two of them earning Second-Team all IEAC honors.

MSJC was led by Sofia Bedolla who turned in a time of 23:55 good enough for a 12th place finish while Yvon Venegas conquered the course in 25:24 to finish 14th. By virtue of their finish both Bedolla and Venegas were named Second Team All-IEAC.

Jordan Consuegra, Ciara Cisneros, and Shiloh Kuhlman rounded out the MSJC contingent at the IEAC finals. Consuegra finished at 26:20 while Cisneros recorded a time of 27:36 and Kuhlman a 35:42.

The entire Eagle team will compete at the 3C2A Regional Meet on Friday November 7th. The race on the 7th will be held at Naval Training Center Park in San Diego.
