Eagles Even Their Record With Pair of Wins
The MSJC softball team picked up two wins on Friday when they traveled to Ventura to take on the Pirates as well as Imperial Valley.

Imperial Valley
The MSJC softball team picked up two wins on Friday when they traveled to Ventura to take on the Pirates as well as Imperial Valley.
The Eagles started the day with 2-1 win over Ventura. Trinity Barnes drove home the first run of the game with an RBI triple in the top of the 4th; she was then brought home with a single by Danica Perez. Ventura scored their lone run of the game in the bottom of the 5th to close the gap to 2-1, but neither team scored again. Charlotte Bayless started the game in the circle and threw 5 innings, allowing just 4 hits and 1 unearned run while striking out 5. Ellianna Pasley picked up the save as she threw the final two innings giving up no runs and just 1 hit.
MSJC followed that victory up with a 9-4 win over Imperial Valley. The Eagles got on the scoreboard first in the top of the 3rd when Neveah Bachman reached on an error that allowed Perez to score. That was followed by an RBI single from Arianna Vasquez. MSJC would tack on four more runs in the top of the sixth with Trista Clarke picking up an RBI and Jordan Harris driving home two. After surrendering one run in the bottom of the 6th, MSJC tacked on three more in the top of the 7th to put the game out of reach. Pasley earned the pitching victory.
The Eagles evened their season record at 9-9 with the two victories. MSJC will be back in action next week when they travel to Antelope Valley for a game on Tuesday, before opening Inland Empire Athletic Conference play on the road Friday with a doubleheader at Victor Valley. Tuesday's game in Lancaster is scheduled for 2 pm while game one on Friday in Victorville will begin at noon.
