Eagles Push Win Streak to Seven
The softball team extended their winning streak to seven games this past weekend with a doubleheader sweep of College of the Desert and wins over Imperial Valley and Compton.

The softball team extended their winning streak to seven games this past weekend with a doubleheader sweep of College of the Desert and wins over Imperial Valley and Compton.
On Friday the Eagles won an Inland Empire Athletic Conference doubleheader against Desert winning the first game 6-1 and then taking the night cap 10-0 in five innings.
In game one Journee Rohbok was a dominant force at the plate as she had an RBI double and a three-run homer for MSJC. Malia Cordova and Neveah Bachman also each had an RBI while Trinity Barnes added a triple. The pitching combo of Charlotte Bayless and Ellianna Pasley held the Roadrunners to one run with Bayless throwing the first four innings and Pasley the final three.
Game two featured five RBIs and another triple from Barnes as the Eagles were in control the entire game. Cordova added a pair of doubles and two RBIs. This time in the circle Pasley went the distance as she picked up the shutout with five scoreless innings, she allowed just two hits in the game.
Saturday the Eagles stepped out of conference play when they hosted both Imperial Valley and Compton.
Saturday's first game against Imperial Valley was a six inning 10-2 victory. Cordova continued her spectacular weekend with a homerun while also pitching the first four innings of the contest to earn the victory. Keyera Cameron added a three-run homerun and Arianna Vasquez had three hits and two RBIs.
In the final game of the busy two day stretch the Eagles defeated Compton 9-3. Pasley again earned the pitching victory as she went the distance and allowed just three runs, all of which were unearned. Cordova again led the offense with three RBIs and Vasquez added three more hits and drove home a pair.
The wins improve MSJC's overall record this season to 18-11 the Desert wins improved the team to 6-1 in league play. The Eagles have three important IEAC games this week all at home when they host Victor Valley Wednesday at 2 pm and then first place Chaffey on Friday in a doubleheader. Friday's first game is scheduled for noon.
