Eagle Offense Erupts For 67 Runs in Three Games
The MSJC softball team had an unbelievable offensive week as they won all three of their games in run-rule fashion scoring a whopping total of 67 runs.

The MSJC softball team had an unbelievable offensive week as they won all three of their games in run-rule fashion scoring a whopping total of 67 runs.
The Eagles started their three-game road trip with a visit to Grossmont on Thursday and won 12-3 in five innings. MSJC jumped ahead in the top of the first with six runs and cruised to victory. Keyera Cameron and Arianna Vasquez both went two for three with three RBIs each, Cameron had a double and Vasquez a triple. Malia Cordova continued her outstanding season with another homerun; she also had a double while driving home a pair of runs. Madison Meyers also picked up two RBIs in the victory.
MSJC's offense carried their momentum from Thursday's win into a dominant offensive performance at Barstow on Friday with a doubleheader sweep of the Vikings. The Eagles started the afternoon with a 32-1 win. In that game Trista Clarke had an amazing eight RBIs as she collected four hits including a grand slam. Cordova and Vanessa Garcia each drove home four runs, and Trinity Barnes had three RBIs. In all twelve different Eagles had at least one RBI in the contest.
Game two was more of the same as the Eagles won 23-2. Cameron had a three-run homerun on her way to a team-best four RBIs. Clarke drove in three more runs giving her an unbelievable eleven RBI day. Garcia also drove in three and Cordova hit her eighth home run of the season and drove in two more. Jaeleigh Graff and Mia Quiroz combined to throw five innings giving up just one earned run each.
The Eagles are now 23-12 overall this season and 9-2 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference games. MSJC has just two weeks remaining in the regular season and will play their final three home contests this week. Wednesday the Eagles host San Bernardino Valley at 2 pm and Friday MSJC will host Barstow for a doubleheader with game one scheduled to start at noon.
