Strong Finish to Regular Season Continues for Eagles
The MSJC softball team won all three of their games last week to secure a second-place finish in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference.

San Bernardino Valley
The MSJC softball team won all three of their games last week to secure a second-place finish in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference.
The Eagles defeated San Bernardino Valley on Wednesday 5-1 and then wrapped up their home schedule for 2026 with a sweep of Barstow on Friday, all three games were played in Menifee. MSJC has now won fifteen of their last sixteen games.
Wednesday MSJC fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning, but the pitching duo of Charlotte Bayless and Ellianna Pasley shut down the Wolverines from there. The Eagle offense would produce two runs in the bottom half of the third, two more in the fourth, and then add an insurance run in the fifth for the win. Malia Cordova had three hits and an RBI to lead the Eagles at the plate. Keyera Cameron had a triple and an RBI while Vanessa Garcia added a double and an RBI. Trinity Barnes kept the pressure on the SBVC defense with three stolen bases. Bayless took the pitching victory throwing five innings and allowing just one run while Pasley threw the last two innings and did not allow a base runner while striking out three.
Friday MSJC celebrated sophomore day with a great offensive effort as they defeated Barstow 17-1 in the opening game and 16-1 in the day's second contest.
In game one the Eagles scored thirteen runs in the bottom of the first inning on their way to a five-inning win. Barnes had three hits and three RBIs; Arianna Vasquez went two for three with a double and drove home three runs. Kaylee Fraund and Jordan Harris each had a pair of RBIs. Jaeleigh Graff was the winning pitcher as she went the distance, throwing five innings allowing just one run and two hits.
In game two the Eagles again jumped ahead early, this time scoring nine runs in the first inning. Harris had a big game at the plate as she went three for three with a homerun and three RBIs. Cordova, Barnes, Fraund, and Garcia each drove in two runs. Pasley was credited with the pitching victory as she went three innings and allowed just two hits and struck out six.
The Eagles have two games remaining this week to wrap up the season. They will travel to College of the Desert on Wednesday for a 6 pm game and then go to Moorpark on Thursday. MSJC now has an overall record of 26-12, they are 12-2 in IEAC games. Chaffey has finished their IEAC schedule with a record of 14-1 to capture the league title.
