MSJC Volleyball Splits a Pair of IEAC Matches
The MSJC volleyball team is heading down the home stretch of the season and last week split a pair of Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches defeating Cerro Coso at home and losing on the road at College of the Desert.

The MSJC volleyball team is heading down the home stretch of the season and last week split a pair of Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches defeating Cerro Coso at home and losing on the road at College of the Desert.
The Eagles started the week at home on Wednesday where they swept the visiting Coyotes by scores of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-20. Daija Malcolm had team highs in both kills and digs as she knocked down 13 and picked up14. Lorna Lopez also contributed to the offensive effort with 8 kills while setter Angelina Browder was credited with 27 assists.
Friday MSJC traveled to IEAC leader College of the Desert and were swept by the Roadrunners. The Eagles fell by scores of 25-17, 25-18, and 25-17. Malcolm had another double double as she again had 13 kills and this time picked up 13 digs. Alena Magee was strong at the net on defense with a solo block and 4 block assists. Lilly Galvin had 11 digs in the losing effort.
The Eagles, who are now 11-10 overall on the season and 5-3 in IEAC matches, have two regular season games remaining on their schedule. Wednesday MSJC travels to Victor Valley for a 5pm match before returning home on Wednesday November 12th for their final home match of 2025. MSJC will host Chaffey on the 12th starting at 5 pm on the San Jacinto Campus.
